The Fizz Company

September Fizz Taster’s ‘get their beaks in’

After a little pause for summer holidays we sent out six bottles to eager Fizz Tasters round the country.

We challenged David McDonald with our Charles Ellner Brut Integral he gave the champagne 4 stars and said:

…this is our first tasting of this Champagne very impressed great flavour light refreshing lovely bubbles much better than some higher priced brands would recommend fantastic will definitely be placing an order.

Karl Kenworthy tried something new and very different, Winterling sparkling riesling, he was a fan and gave the fizz 4 stars:

After living in Bavaria for 18 something years and seeing a Sparkling Wine , Sekt (Champagne) produced in the Rhine regions, of course I was interested to try this and what a refreshing treat.
This is a very vibrant clean sparking wine, with a fruity citrus almost lemon note.
Great bubbles and crisp taste, this is superb opening welcome sparkler to any event. Great stuff.

Lindsay Westwood tried another fizz from the Winterling winery, their sparkling pink pinot noir, and gave it a definite thumbs up and 5 stars:

Well this sparkling wine certainly lived up to its’ hype: Delicate strawberry & raspberry notes with a hint of blossom and candy floss. That is the perfect way to describe it. I couldn’t have put it any better myself!!
I’m a real lover of sparkling rose so I was always going to be hard to please but I have to say, these beautiful bubbles really hit the spot; not too dry, not too sweet but the perfect balance.
It was my birthday last week and we cracked open a bottle of Lanson Rose to celebrate, but in all honesty, I think I enjoyed the Winterling Rose more, and at half the price, who am I to complain?

Clare Hines tried a spot of pink fizz too, Louisvale Cap Classique comes all the way from sunny South Africa, this was a big hit with Clare and she gave it 5 stars:

Absolutely loved this sparkling wine! It was easy to drink, refreshing and light. Could definitely taste the flavours of all the different fruits which sat really nicely on the palette. Perfect for any occasion, whether it is for something extra special or not.

Finally Neil Alder Hilton tasted a crémant from Alsace, Comte de Grimm and was pleasantly surprised, he gave it a 4 star rating:

dry but a lovely taste. The fizz lasts a long time in your mouth!!!! Would buy again as my wife liked it better than me.

Many thanks to our Fizz Company Tasters from September.

Fizz Company Tasters for October will be picked out of the champagne bucket soon!
