Multi award winning, authentic and classic.

Lots and lots of gentle bubbles, fresh apple and pear flavours, followed by a little hint of grapefruit at the end of the sip. Perfect for parties, picnics and pairing with food…

At the team tasting in May ’16 we ‘got our beaks in’ and ‘sniffed out’ pear drops, white peaches, starfruit and pineapple chunks. Then we ‘sipped, swigged and slurped’ and tasted flavours of tinned pineapple, jellied lemons and white peaches! All in a days work!

Prosecco Vignarosa

Vignarosa means pink house in Italian and  the winery buildings are still pink to this day; the estate is situated in Colle Umberto in Treviso, an area renowned for Prosecco production. Vignarosa produces relatively small amounts of prosecco and sparkling wine and focus on quality rather than quantity; blending traditional wine making techniques, with progressive new technologies.

  • Blend: 100% Glera (formerly known as Prosecco) grapes.
  • ABV: 11%.
  • DOC quality level.

International Wine Challenge 2016 – silver medal. Judges said:

Very vibrant and fresh with real depth and personality. Peach and grapefruit character with a lovely zesty finish.

I found this Prosecco very dry. I would drink it as an aperitif with some sweet and savoury canapes.
It has an aroma of pears and apples. Due to the dryness of the Prosecco I probably wouldn’t try this again. I shared it with my husband who agreed with me.

This prosecco is perfectly pleasant, very dry (but I like dry!) and drinkable, but nothing special. I didn’t get any particular flavours at all; to be frank it hasn’t got much flavour. I’ve had far better wines for less money.

Delightful, subtly fruity aroma and taste. Very smooth to drink and, in my eyes, very good value for money. Would be lovely to share on a summer afternoon and will certainly consider buying for such an occasion.

I really liked this Prosecco and I didn’t expect to after reading previous mixed reviews. It is dry but very drinkable! I really enjoyed it’s subtle citrus flavours. Would be good with friends at a summer BBQ in my opinion. A good champagne substitute with lots of fizz.

All three of us enjoyed this Prosecco and agreed we would buy it again.I think the mixed reviews so far are due to the fact it’s not completely typical of Proseccos sold in the UK, to me it tasted more like a French Cremant offering. We couldn’t really detect the fruits others could, one said elderflowers but I’m not sure. It is said to be good with salty snacks so we tried with mixed salted nuts as well as on its own and I would agree with this, the flavour still cut through the saltiness. Yes it is dry but that’s a plus for me.
