the family at Prosecco La Farra

La Farra – a vineyard in the heart of the Superior Prosecco DOC area between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a location which is particularly prestigious for cultivating grapes. La Farra is owned by the Nardi family Pictured above-outside their new winery. The three motifs on the label signify the 3 siblings in charge today, Guido, Innocente and their sister Adamaria.

La Farra achieve the best of both worlds combining the typically floral fragrances of grapes from vines near Valdobbiadene with the fuller, fruitier flavours characteristic of grapes from Conegliano.

Prosecco Vignarosa

Vignarosa means pink house in Italian and  the winery buildings are still pink to this day; the estate is situated in Colle Umberto in Treviso, an area renowned for Prosecco production. Vignarosa produces relatively small amounts of prosecco and sparkling wine and focus on quality rather than quantity; blending traditional wine making techniques, with progressive new technologies.

1 bottle La Farra Prosecco DOC – A fruity prosecco, with refreshing citrus notes that complement the ripe nectarine and peach flavours.  Voted a great aperitif by ‘i news’.

1 bottle La Farra Italian pink sparkling. Pale pink rosé with notes of peaches and redcurrants, fruity, yet dry and refreshing. Wonderful aperitif or try with shellfish or dried meats.

1 bottle Vignarosa ‘Amorino’ Italian pink sparkling. Overflowing with incredible aromas and flavours of ripe juicy strawberries and raspberries, not sweet, not cloying, just very fruity. Refreshing on the finish- delicious!

1 bottle of Prosecco Vignarosa Brut – Lots of gentle bubbles, fresh apple and pear flavours, followed by a little hint of grapefruit at the end of the sip. Perfect for parties, picnics and pairing with food…

2 bottles of Vignarosa Prosecco Frizzante ’40’  – This is a fruity frizzante prosecco (you need a corkscrew to remove the cork!) Fresh and fruity with notes of apples and pears, really easy drinking and great with salty snacks or on its own.

All proseccos are from the Veneto region in Italy.
