Masia Bou Cava is made at the Cellars de L’Arboc winery in the village of L’Arboc. The winery brings together nine award-winning winemakers, who each produce their own wines as part of a cooperative. It was one of the first wineries in the area to ferment wines at low temperature which means their wines maintain great fruit notes, freshness, and a high quality.

U mes u fan tres (in English 1+1=3) is a winery in the Penedès area of Spain near Barcelona. The winery was the brainchild of two brother’s-in-law, Josep Pinol a winemaker and Josep Bonnell a viticulturist. They say that together they are better than just two so hence the name, 1+1=3. They work organically and some of their products have received organic certification. They are a fantastic example of the high quality that can be achieved by small producers.

The  team are very impressed with the 1+1=3 Brut Nature Cavas. A million miles from an average cava and very reminscent of champagne.

1+1=3 Pinot Noir It’s very dry (no sugar is added at the end of production) refreshing yet creamy, notes of rhubarb and custard. All in all, very moreish and perfect for an aperitif.

1+1=3  Xarel.lo cava is very dry, with extremely fresh aromas and flavours of lime and bramley apples and a hint of blossom and caramel; also reminiscent of riesling.

Masia Bou is from the Cellars of L’Arboc, where the wines are fermented at a low temperature to achieve a high quality and preserve fruit flavours. These cavas are fresh, fabulously fruity and very well made. They are great for easy drinking occasions and when friends pop round. The Brut is refreshing with soft citrus notes while the Rosé has berry notes especially ripe strawberry.
