Charles Ellner Brut Zero

Chardonnay, Pinot Noir

Mouthwatering Bone Dry

France

For lovers of very dry champagne. Lengthy ageing has softened the champagne, but fresh, zingy, citrus notes remain.

Enjoy a hint of ‘biscuity’ richness on the finish. Fantastic to drink on its own.

A rich nose with buttered sourdough leads to sherbet limes and baked apples. There is a beautifully balanced citrus seam of freshness.

Whilst especially dry and light with a sweet aroma the abundant taste of citrus fruits was overpowering.
As an aperitif we felt it overwhelmed the senses, so for us this would need to accompany seafood canapes or starters.
Rather more acidic than our usual choices with a strong citrus kick and mineral after taste.

  2. Susan

Tasted citrus and biscuity undertones, which for us prevented it from becoming too dry. Lovely fine bubbles in the glass. Prefer to drink it on its own, or maybe a small snack like some nuts or apperatifs.
It’s a smooth, easy drinking champagne, for any time, any day.

Tasting on behalf of Helen the Charles Ellner Integral Champagne, this is our first tasting of this Champagne very impressed great flavour light refreshing lovely bubbles much better than some higher priced brands would recommend fantastic will definitely be placing an order.

Tasted light and clean with citrus fruits, excellent bubbles in the glass. Very refreshing on a spring day and I enjoyed it very much.

  5. Clive Giddings

This champagne has a very earthy aroma, with a mineral taste – extremely palatable with a taste that stays on the tongue for a long time and does not wash away, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and such great value!

We took this wine to a friends dinner party to taste, and drank as an aperitif, for six of us, all of whom enjoyed it. As it was very dry, we thought it would be better with a cracker, or salty snack. The discerning in our group noticed undertones of apricot and a hint of lemon with a very pleasant aftertaste being a little chalky. As is normal with six people and one bottle, we only realised when we fancied another glass, and the peanuts were out, that the bottle was too small.
