Clear
Ellner’s most popular champagne and highly recommended.

Tarte Tatin in a glass – rich baked apples, notes of buttery caramel and pastry; lively and fresh.
Makes a heavenly aperitif and works well with fish and creamy sauces.

The four of us were lucky enough to try this and must say it was a very “drinkable” little number. The apples were the strongest flavour that we all picked out but didn’t get very much more. The bubbles were great to start off but faded rather more quickly than expected from such a bottle but it didn’t go flat. Would consider this with fish or cheese (we had it with cheese) as its not very heavy, doesn’t leave any after taste and not too dry. Personally I prefer something with a bit more “wow” factor from a champagne and a lot dryer and for the money. I would say for us, it was a little pricey for what it had to offer hence only the 4 stars. It would make a great sunny afternoon, light, crisp fizz for sure. If you are looking for something not to strong in flavour then this is perfect.
