Get your beak into La Farra Prosecco

When we taste, after popping the cork, the first thing we do is ‘get our beaks in’ ie we take a good long sniff to see what amazing aromas our noses can detect.

This August, we have ‘beaked’ and ‘sipped’- on your behalf, three different bottles.  Here, we share our musings on the La Farra Prosecco

“The walls were wet and sticky, and peach juice was dripping from the ceiling. James opened his mouth and caught some of it on his tongue. It tasted delicious.”

Roald Dahl, James and the Giant Peach

As if you hadn’t guessed by now, we think our lovely La Farra gives off the aroma of peaches.  More specifically, when we ‘beaked in’ it was the fruity unctuous smell that escapes from a freshly opened tin of peaches.

Staying with the stone fruit theme, on sipping, we loved the fresh and fruity flavours of plump, ripe apricots combined with touches of crispy green apple.

For super sleuths interested in the motif on the neck of the bottle … each symbol represents one of the three siblings who make this wonderful prosecco: Guido, Innocente and their sister Adamaria.
