Get Your Beak into … Vignarosa Amorino

When we taste, after popping the cork, the first thing we do is ‘get our beak in’ ie take a good long sniff to see what amazing aromas our noses can detect.

This June, we have ‘beaked’ and ‘sipped’- on your behalf, four different bottles.  The third one this month is our Vignarosa ‘Amorino’ – a pink sparking from Italy.

This particular fizz will remind you of your favourite pink berry summer puddings rolled into one.  That heady smell you get when you ‘pick your own’ strawberries and plunge your beak into the punnet for a lovely whiff.




The sipping and swigging took us ever deeper into ‘Strawberry Fields Forever.’  Like dunking your little finger into a jar of rich, viscous strawberry jam.  The Vignarosa Amorino is made for summer sipping and sharing.



For the information thirsty drinkers out there – although this fizz is made by our prosecco family at the Vignarosa winery in Colle Umberto in Treviso (an area renowned for Prosecco production) – you cannot call it prosecco, because it is pink.  Prosecco is the clear fizz made from the Glera grape.  This pink fizz is made from a blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Raboso grapes.
