Get Your Beak in to …Ellner Grande Réserve Champagne

When we taste, after popping the cork, the first thing we do is ‘get our beak in’ ie take a good long sniff to see what amazing aromas our noses can detect.

Our latest bottle ‘beaked’ is…..Ellner Grande Réserve Brut Champagne.

four bottles of champagne on a shny dark wood table. Three bottles are blurred and the Ellner Grande Reserve is in focus. The label is black round the edge with a black and white image of a lady holding a flute aloft

Come in and sit down; welcome to the best Patisserie in the world  … On the beak, this Ellner Grand Réserve offers up whiffs of baked apples – perhaps a slice of freshly baked Tarte Tatin.

Stay seated, because the sip and swig evokes layers of butter infused pastry and caramel steeped baked apples.  A really traditional champagne, with a richness and depth that means you can pair it with food – we would suggest a platter of hard cheeses.

Sshhh, don’t tell anyone, but the very glamorous Ellner family who produce this champagne (apart from the fact that all the women teeter around on very high heels and in very skinny jeans) come together, every day, to enjoy a flute of this.  How marvellously decadent!

Cheers!

If you order this bottle with us, please share your ‘get your beak in’ and ‘swig, sip and slurp’ experiences with us.
