Not content with the experience and knowledge passed down to him, Thierry also obtained the wine making qualification Oenologue Diplômé in Reims in 1988. Today the family owns and tends 12 hectares of vines, some of which are just outside the back door of the house.

Thierry only produces 95,000 bottles of champagne a year and only 5% of that is exported, so it is a rare treat over here! Thierry has also elected to produce a champagne for the ‘Special Club’. In order to attain the ‘Special Club’ badge, the producer has to conform to many regulations and controls, but any champagne carrying this badge is a guarantee of it being amongst the best the region has to offer.

Thierry also works to the recommendations of the Viticulture Raisonnée which aims to promote sustainable agriculture in the Champagne region. All in all, he’s a really busy chap!
