For those of you following our social media output, we’ve been raving about one of our English sparklers … Bolney’s Blanc de Blanc (100% Chardonnay) this month. Judging by your feedback, lots of you have been enjoying our mouth-watering shots of sherbet lemons! Because this particular sparkling is a bit like sipping on lemons galore – in other words … a zippy, dry, mouth tingler!
Did you know that the best food pairing for this style of fizz is a bag of freshly fried fish and chips! Why? Because the bracing acidity in the sparkling wine cuts through the delicious fat of the fish and chips to leave your mouth feeling well catered for and as clean as a whistle.
When we first discovered this amazing pairing, we had to stop ourselves from tucking in on a daily basis. We have now managed to limit ourselves to informal suppers and trips to the sea side!
