Which do you value – big brand or big flavour?

Thierry Forget the wine-maker describes this champagne as rich with flavours of apples, pears and dried fruits; robust, fresh with good bubbles.

If you like a toasty, bready style of champagne then this has your name on it!

A particularly delicious accompaniment to pan fried mushrooms on crusty bread …why not wow your friends with this great combination at your next get together?

Thierry loves being in the vines, enjoying what nature has to offer….when the weather is good. During inclement conditions he can be found in the tank room, indulging in his second passion, wine-making. It wouldn’t be difficult to believe that champagne flows through Thierry’s veins. He has grown up in the midst of vines and a winery, smelling, tasting and discussing champagne from an early age passing all his wine-making exams with flying colours. He is now developing a reputation as an excellent champagne producer and winning many awards.

Thierry produces only 95,000 bottles of champagne a year, a mere 5% of which is exported. His vintage champagne carries the ‘Special Club’ badge which means it is deemed to be among the best examples the region has to offer.

Lively and fresh, with good concentration and length. Aromas and flavours of green apples, lemons and toast dominate.

I first fell in love with Forget-Chemin following a trip to Reims some years ago. Up until then Vueve had been my champagne of choice. We searched far and wide to purchase the Forget in Britain, including some very up-market wine merchants, all to no avail until my husband found Fizz. I am so pleased to see that it is now a medal winner – obviously others have appreciated this lovely champagne as I do. Helen and the team at Fizz have been a godsend. They have never let us down on an order, are fast and efficient, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about all things “bubbles”. I can’t profess to be an expert or champagne buff. All I can say is that Forget is very easily drinkable (doesn’t give me a headache). If you enjoy a champagne that is on the right side of dry you will love it as I do.

This champagne was amazing I usually struggle to drink champagne but found this really pleasant. It wasn’t to dry I enjoyed it so much I’ve added it to my Christmas list.
